Project Description: The project consists of but is not limited to coating rehabilitation of the Washing Pond 2.0 MG standpipe, which includes surface preparation utilizing conventional abrasive blast cleaning on the interior and exterior surfaces, with full rigid frame containment on the exterior, or the use of a self contained steel grit abrasive robotic system, with localized containment of all areas that cannot be reached with the robotic system and require conventional abrasive blast cleaning. The project shall include the application of high performance coatings on the interior and exterior surfaces, removal and replacement of certain tank components, addition of certain tank exterior components, minor welding repairs, the installation of emergency disinfection piping on the interior and other appurtenant work consistent with the coating rehabilitation of a steel potable water storage standpipe. |

Special Requirements: A pre-bid meeting
will be conducted on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the office
of the Wannacomet Water Company, One Milestone
Road, Nantucket, MA, and a visit to the tank site will immediately follow the
pre-bid meeting. It is strongly
recommended that all potential bidders attend this meeting. |
