Project Description: The project consists of the cleaning and lining of
approximately 5,960 linear feet of water mains in Marblehead Neck and 3,115
linear feet of water mains on West Shore Drive. Additionally, five (5) water
main cross connections between West Shore Drive and side streets are to be
installed, and approximately two hundred fifty (250) linear feet of water
main is to be replaced on the Neck. Marblehead Neck: Clean and
line the following streets – Foster Street from Harbor Avenue to Ballast
Lane, Ballast Lane from Foster Street to Ocean Avenue, Harvard Street from
Harbor Avenue to end of 6-inch water main, Blanchard Street from Harbor
Avenue to end, Follett Street from Ocean Avenue to Kimball Street, Kimball
Street from Follett Street to Nahant Street and Manley Street from Kimball
Street to Ocean Avenue. Replace Corinthian Lane with a new 6-inch ductile
iron water main. West Shore Drive: Clean and line the 8-inch water
main from Village Street to Waterside Road.
Provide 8-inch cross connections between 16-inch and 8-inch water main
at Santry Road, Beverly Avenue, Bayview
Road, Evans Road, and Turner Road. Extend up these roads far enough to be
clear of West Shore Drive, as shown on the plans. The cross connections shall be installed
before the cleaning and lining is conducted. |
